Why do only the top quarter of players get OMPs in MP competitions whereas the top third get them in IMP competitions and in clubs throughout the country?

Online Master Points are awarded in accordance with the EBU Master Points Handbook.
In the case of the DIDO Daily MPs room,  16 boards are required to qualify and thus, the scale of awards extends only to the top quarter of the field.
